Why on earth doesn't it go back to the beginning of the patter to restart like real professional drum machines? Simple. When you hit the stop footswitch the sound stops when release of the switch (might sound daft but actually a it's a very good feature as it's easier to be more accurate when you release than when you step on to a footswith especially if you're singing and playing at the same time. Pity the designers of this family have never played with it live and used the drum machine for themselves in the real world of live music.
